چکیده

The dielectric behavior of the pyrochlore (Bi3/4Zn1/4)2(Zn1/4Ta3/4)2O7 compound has been studied. A low-temperature dielectric relaxation was observed in a low-permittivity matrix with «5;60. The dielectric relaxation process follows a modified Debye model in the vicinity of the relaxation peak, and the relaxation rate follows the Arrhenius law in the wide frequency range 10 to ;10 Hz. The temperature intensity of dielectric peaks are independent of dc bias ~<60 kV/cm!. The dielectric relaxation is tentatively attributed to the hopping of Zn/Bi ions at A sites with more than one equivalent potential minima, and the reorientation of the dipoles probably formed through interactions with the ‘‘seventh oxygen’’ and the Bi/Zn A-site ions in the pyrochlore (Bi3/4Zn1/4)2(Zn1/4Ta3/4)2O7 compound. © 2002 American Institute of Physics. @DOI: 10.1063/1.1486045#

Supercooled spin liquid state in the frustrated pyrochlore Dy2Ti2O7.

A "supercooled" liquid develops when a fluid does not crystallize upon cooling below its ordering temperature. Instead, the microscopic relaxation times diverge so rapidly that, upon further cooling, equilibration eventually becomes impossible and glass formation occurs. Classic supercooled liquids exhibit specific identifiers including microscopic relaxation times diverging on a Vogel-Tammann-...

Possible quantum diffusion of polaronic muons in Dy(2)Ti(2)O(7) spin ice.

We interpret recent measurements of the zero field muon relaxation rate in the magnetic pyrochlore Dy(2)Ti(2)O(7) as resulting from the quantum diffusion of muons in the material. In this scenario, the plateau observed at low temperature (< 7 K) in the relaxation rate is due to coherent tunneling of muons through a spatially disordered spin state and not to any magnetic fluctuations persisting ...

Influence of Interface Thermal Resistance on Relaxation Dynamics of Metal-Dielectric Nanocomposite Materials under Ultrafast Pulse Laser Excitation

Nanocomposite materials, including noble metal nanoparticles embedded in a dielectric host medium, are interesting because of their optical properties linked to surface plasmon resonance phenomena. For studding of nonlinear optical properties and/or energy transfer process, these materials may be excited by ultrashort pulse laser with a temporal width varying from some femtoseconds to some hund...

Low-Voltage Organic Thin Film Transistors with High-K Bi1.5Zn1.0nb1.5O7 Pyrochlore Gate Insulator

Thin film transistor circuits using organic semiconductors (oTFT) have received intense interest for applications requiring structural flexibility, large area coverage, low temperature processing, and low-cost [1]. Pentacene TFTs have demonstrated the highest performance among TFTs with an organic semiconductor channel. A major limitation, however, has been unusually high operating voltages (20...

Morphology, structure, optical, and electrical properties of AgSbO3

The morphology of defect pyrochlore-type, AgSbO3 microparticle/nanoparticles obtained via solid state reaction evolve from irregular to Fullerene-like polyhedra before finally decomposing into metal-organic framework-5 like particles with increase in sintering temperature. The defect pyrochlore-type AgSbO3 particles are slightly Ag deficient while the valence of the antimony ion is shown to be ...
